The home of the Greensleeves Rally Team. We feel that we are unique worldwide as the only rally car equipped with fully operational ice cream chimes. Don't ask us why! We don't really know why either but the kids love it, and so do most of the adults come to that. They also give us an excuse for not going fast as people think that we are not taking things seriously. We also get relatively big cheers as we go through the forests which makes us feel good and go faster. They always say a team plays better when the crowd is behind them.

The Team

I drive, Jim navigates (when his wife Michelle will let him have some money)

Jim for those of you who don't know him is Mr J Plevey Esq, comp secretary for Trackrod Motor Club and world famous pie eater. His slim line 14 stone physique was recently diagnosed as just faulty scales due to getting weighed on a thick pile carpet. The truth is un-printable, but it's safe to say we'll never go over on the driver's side. Jim's been navigating for about fifteen years now and has been involved with the Lancia works teams back in the nineties and has enjoyed victories with such drivers as Bambos Charalambous in the past. When all that success dried up, Jim found himself at the side of a fat Yorkshire no-hoper in a grotty old Escort but hasn't laughed as much since Graham Struggles turned into Woogie and grew a beard. (One all Graham)

I am Dave Hemingway, as the website title may suggest. An ex-civil engineer, now a beauty therapist's assistant. It's a long story and I must be plied with beer to tell it but suffice it to say, the scenery is better in my new job.

I started in motorsport in 1989 when I hillclimbed the kit car that I built going on to compete in sprints, road rallies and any other form of cheap motorsport before taking the financial plunge to build a stage rally car in 1993. Rallying has always been a battle against rust and low bank balances for me with success in 1998 winning the ANCC Stage Rally Championship (full season on one set of Yokohamas) but over recent years and helped with my association with Woodfield Garage I have steadily improved the car to it's present, quick and reliable form.
